I was very sad to hear about the crash of B-17G Nine-O-Nine, tail#44-83575. This plane went down yesterday in Connecticut.
I had the honor of going aboard her on April 5,2018.  Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of those killed and hurt.

To all my dA pals,
I am sorry I am so late replying to feedback and replies.  Last Monday the old laptop gave up the ghost.  My son wanted to build me a new PC from the ground up.  The last part arrived today, and we spent the day getting set up.  Very exciting for an old Luddite like me.  Got a new keyboard, mouse, and monitor.  More photos to follow soon.

To all my pals,
Sue and I  taking off on a long road trip tomorrow.  First leg is El Paso to Roswell,N.M.  Then Roswell to Santa Fe on Sunday. Monday is the long drive From Santa Fe to Denver, Co. to see cousin Mary. The girl that puts the sin in cousin.  That is as far as we have planned.  Maybe a trip through the mountains.  Maybe a ride down to Durango and Mesa Verde.  We don't even know when we will be back.  My son is here to take care of the kitties, so that is not a worry. 

I won't be on line while we are gone, but don't think we have forgotten you folks.  Lots of photos and adventures coming up.

 Well here goes.
 The bad week really started on the Saturday before Thanksgiving on November 19th.  Sweet Sue's brother called to say that her mother was not doing well.  Sue decided to drive up to Santa Fe and try to help him set up the hospice service Frankie was going to need.  My sweetie left Monday on the five hour drive to Santa Fe and spent Tuesday at the nursing home getting all the ducks in a row.  She drove back on Wednesday so that we could spend Thanksgiving together.  Thursday Sue's brother called to say that Frankie had passed away early that morning.  Sue did not need to drive back up because all the arrangements had been made.  Mom had been declining for a long time.
 Then on Tuesday of this week the water heater broke.  At least I caught it before it flooded the house.  $1275.00 later we can all take hot showers, and I can clean up the kitchen.  Yoohoo!
 Last of all, our oldest kitty Maya had to be put down this morning.  She had stopped eating and was having trouble walking.  The poor old girl was almost twenty.  Sue brought her home before the little kitty's eyes were even open.  Maya was hand fed by all of us and thought she was people.  Every one who came to the house were there just to see her.  She especially liked the plumbers.  Must have been that earthy smell.
 We will miss Frankie and Maya.


Rest in peace old friend. 

This weekend my Little Miss Liberty stopped eating.  We took her the the vet first thing this morning and found out she had a very aggressive and rapidly growing cancer in her intestines.  The doctor gave us the options of surgery or a form of chemo.  She said that the best we could really hope for was a couple of months more.  I refused to put my best little kitty thru any more pain than necessary.  Liberty was put down at 9:10 this morning.  We had her for ten years.  
I will miss her.
